Well That Ain't so Bad
Compared to falling in the brook, going out in the rain to go potty is a snap. I don't need to try to hold it until I absolutely can't anymore! Too bad my parents bought the Potty Patch for me. We had a friend recommend it. Momma kept pointing at it and telling me to go potty, but it just looked like something fun to dig . . . and now I don't need it anyway. ^_^

Learned How to Swim . . . The Hard Way!
Last week Momma and I went walking in the woods with some new friends. We were headed to the swimming hole, just to check it out. I ran past everyone to the end of the path (it was blocked by a stone wall). Momma says she relaxed because she thought I couldn't get into the water without going by her. She was wrong!
Suddenly she heard a splash! I had jumped up on to the stone wall and slipped off. Momma yelled, "She can't swim!" (because I never had). Laura yelled, "Oh yes she can!" I wasn't swimming in the right direction though. I was trying really hard to scrambling up a vertical cliff face, rather than heading back to the shore.
Momma quickly took off important things like her cell phone, back pack, fleece jacket, and shoes. Then she started wading in after me. To her surprise, the water got very deep . . . over her head! She started swimming toward me. When she reached me, I was really tired and having trouble keeping my snout above the water. I turned to her and she carried me under her arm. She was scared because she had never swam carrying anything before, although she had been taught to swim in clothing. But I helped. I paddled along beside her.
The water was really cold, and the air wasn't much better. It was only 54 degrees that day. Luckily, it was a short walk home.
We also have more photos that need posting. Most of them are more shots of me and Maui cuddling.
